About Roy

Roy came to live with us the fall after Hurricane Katrina. After the hurricane, he ended up at Town and Country Animal Care Center with the hopes of either finding his family or adoption into a good home. When he first arrived, he was terrified and refused to come out of his "crate" for the first few days. Thanks to "Ralph", Roy's first friend, he eventually trusted Ralph enough to venture out into his run (also thanks to "hot-dogs"). However, due to his shyness, no one was interested in adopting Roy (Then known as "Blackjack"). We decided to give him a try at our house, and he has been here ever since.
